Oprah’s SOUND OF MUSIC Reunion

Yesterday, Oprah reunited the cast members who played the Von Trapp family in The Sound of Music for the first time in many years – partly to celebrate the release of the new limited edition Blu-Ray box set (some elements of which are being released in standard Blu-Ray and DVD sets). I really enjoyed watching this episode of the eponymous talk show and even got misty eyed a few times. Have a look at the show if you haven’t – and then head on to the comments box to answer the question at the end of this post….

It’s clear from the interviews in the show that The Sound of Music has touched many people’s lives. So what’s your favourite The Sound of Music memory?

Watching The Sound of Music on Christmas with the whole family singing along.

  2. Justin De Vries says:

Watching it for the first time when I was 9 and loving it, countless singing sessions with the movie soundtrack since then, and going through an “obsessed” stage with it from age 12 to 14. It remains my favourite film of all time.

How do you solve a problem like Maria! My favourite memory – watching with all my cousins at my grandparents over the holidays.
